I can't even progress through my game now because its impossible for any side to make significant gains. Surley the devs aren't as stupid as to assume that all the conflicts would of been easily decided. The one in this game only seems to work if you are completely winning or completely losing, even CK 2 had a middle ground option. Why couldn't they just port that system over? It accounts for everything. It would be very difficult to actually programmatically determine when a stalemate has occured, but they should allow for asking for peace at all times, even if the AI says no The best system i have seen was the one in Europia IV. And thats just not something that happens much in HOI4, so the devs havent implemented a solution yet. In your situation, thats the only real possibility I see of where a peace deal between axis and the alliance actually being feasable. but by then, why not go all the way and overrun Europe? Force them to surrender unconditionally. It would be nicer to have potential for more peace deals, but UK was not likely going to sue for peace while half of Europe was overrun by the Axis (while still untouchable by Germany), and Germany only tried once they were losing.
